What we collect

Account information

Your email address and authentication credentials, either directly or via Google Sign-In. We use this to identify your account and send you important service communications.

Profile and preferences

Information you provide during onboarding: your GLP-1 medication type, injection day, dietary restrictions, weight (optional), protein goal, companion name preference, and communication tone. This is used to personalize your companion experience.

Check-in and conversation data

Your daily check-in messages and responses with your AI companion. This includes what you share about your appetite, how you're feeling, and your food intake. These conversations are stored to provide context for your weekly summaries and ongoing support.

Food logs

Meal descriptions and protein estimates you log throughout the day. Used to calculate your daily protein progress and inform your companion's responses.

Device information

If you enable push notifications, we store a device token to deliver reminders to your device. We also store your timezone to ensure notifications arrive at appropriate times.

Usage data

We track how many messages you've sent in a given month to enforce fair-use limits and manage service costs. We do not collect analytics or advertising identifiers.

How we use your data

• To power your AI companion conversations and weekly summaries
• To track your protein goals and daily food logs
• To send push notification reminders (only if you opt in)
• To enforce fair-use limits on the service
• To improve the app and fix issues

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data to any third party. We do not share your personal health information with anyone outside of the services required to operate the app.

Third-party services

Lean On GLP uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Supabase — database and authentication. Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure.
• Anthropic (Claude) — the AI model powering your companion. Your check-in conversations are sent to Anthropic's API to generate responses. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this processing.
• Vercel — web hosting and serverless functions.
• Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) — used to deliver reminders to your iOS device if you opt in to notifications.

Data retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days. Some anonymized usage data may be retained for service improvement purposes.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Withdraw consent at any time (e.g. disable push notifications)

Not medical advice

Lean On GLP is a wellness companion app, not a medical device or service. Nothing in the app constitutes medical advice. Always consult your healthcare provider for medical decisions, including anything related to your GLP-1 medication.

Children

Lean On GLP is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
